About Dept. of Sociology

The Department of Sociology is committed to teaching its students at the undergraduate level the basic grammar of social science within the context of a general awareness of diverse national and international social realities and issues. The department aims to build a foundation of intellectual skills for independent research useful for varied professions, ranging from academic research and teaching, to media, to administration, to public leadership, to management, and more. Additionally, the department emphasizes extra-curricular learning to provide a holistic educational experience.
