Nature Club

The Nature Club at Ideal Arts and Science College has been introduced to generate awareness among students about current environmental issues. The club teaches students to love their mother nature and conserve the resources in it, making the protection of the environment its primary concern.

Vision:

To develop general awareness among the people, students in particular, regarding different environmental problems that are of major concern to the better future and survival of mankind. The aim is to motivate and educate students about environmental conservation and to develop a group of eco-friendly people.

Mission:

To build a Green Force of nature lovers who can work tirelessly and strongly fight for the preservation and enhancement of the natural resources available in our college.

Objectives:

  • Empower and educate students about the importance of environmental conservation and create awareness about major environmental problems.

  • Observe environmentally important days.

  • Motivate students to plant more trees.

  • Educate students to minimize the usage of plastics.

  • Organize various programs like seminars, cartoon drawing, exhibitions, craft making, quizzes, etc., regarding various environmental issues.

Action Plan:

  • Environmental Day celebration.

  • Tree identification and labeling at college premises.

  • Green Day celebration.

  • Medicinal herb and shrub plantations.

  • Organizing a debate competition.

  • Poster Presentation: a poster related to environmental management.

  • Organizing a nature study camp, trekking, and forest visits.

  • Conducting a seminar on the topic “Biodiversity: Its Importance and Threat”.

  • Photography competition.

  • Beat plastic pollution by creating awareness inside the campus.
